A New Toltec Center, honoring our lineage

We are thrilled to announce that our non-profit organization, the Toltec Center of Creative Intent, has a new home in Wimberley, TX. The Toltec Center's first incarnation was in Berkeley, CA where it was incorporated in 2001. In April 2008 thanks to many synchronicities we found the perfect place for the new Center in our home town of Wimberly. For the past few months we have been offering a variety of classes, workshops, public events, and private sessions. It is a beautiful, light, magical space. The Toltec Center website is currently under construction and should be up an running within the next month. Yeah for technology!

It is interesting that right around the same time as we re-opened the Toltec Center (after four years of homelessness!) don Miguel resurrected his non-profit organization, the Sixth Sun Foundation. At my last journey to Teotihuacan I felt a strong pull to connect with don Miguel again. So when I heard that his dear mother, Sarita, had passed I flew to San Diengo for her memorial service. It was a huge gift to be with don Miguel and so many of my friends from my apprenticeship circle with Miguel.To see a slide show honoring Mother Sarita's life, click here. She was a truly amazing woman who touched many people's lives with her healing hands, unshakeable faith, and unconditional love.

At the end of this month I'll be heading to Teotihuacan with don Miguel and his family where we will be bringing Sarita's ashes to the top of the pyramid of the sun. It feels like a huge honor to the Toltec lineage that has had such a beautiful impact on my life and in our community.

Raven and I continue to thoroughly enjoy living in Wimberley in our little hilltop cabin. We are not alone in loving the many offerings of this area: the Hill Country of Texas was just voted the best place to visit for the summer by The New York Times! Check out the story here. Our puppy Inti is turning into a fabulous dog, my garden is thriving, and we just screened in our porch so we can now hang out by the garden in the early morning before the sun starts frying everything. Clear Vision
When I was seven years old, I remember saying to myself, “I can see forever! I have great vision! I am a superhero!” A week later my eyes were tested for the first time, and it turned out my idea of clear vision and the doctor’s were different. It was a magical day when I got my first pair of glasses and stared in awe at the crisp edges of the world: buildings, signs, cars were suddenly sharp, neon bright, and distinct. What a revelation of sight!

On February 2 (the cross-quarter day of Candlemas) our Spiritual Integrity Coaching community started a cleanse that would last until March 20, the Spring Equinox.... My personal intent for the Lense was clear vision, with a very physical component. The day before Candlemas I laid on a table covered by a blanket, doing my best to keep my eyes focused on a blurry red light while a laser sliced a thin layer of tissue off my eye.

Spiritual Integrity Upcoming Events

It has been a joy to be teaching weekly classes again and to have a Center to ground our creative energy into. We are now hosting monthly healing circles, Toltec movie night, and our community gathering where we blend live music and inspirational speakers. Yum!

We also continue to explore ways to reach our to the many friends on our email list who live in remote areas or cannot travel. This summer we have two new offerings:

Sacred Time Management Teleclass (you can still join!)
with Heather Ash Amara; a six-week class to live in a sacred way AND get things done with grace and faith. All classes also available on audio for those in the program. Click link above for details.

Weaving Spirituality and Livelihood Teleclass (starts July 10)
A holistic approach to starting a business with Kirsten Gagnaire, a Jump!er in our community and the Principle of Social Enterprise Group.
